Is God Really Looking?

Do you ever wonder if God is really looking at us? After all, we are small. We can't see Him. There are billions of us. Can He know the actions, words, and motives of everyone?

2 Chronicles 16:9a says: "For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him..." NKJV

There it is!!! God is paying attention to everyone, and His eyes are searching the earth for people whose hearts are loyal to Him! Hearts! That means, yes, He knows our motives!

Does that make you squirm? It does me! But the happy truth is that, if He knows our motives, He also knows our hidden hopes and dreams. Equally, He knows our hurts! He knows the injuries we've suffered as we've soldiered on through life! He knows everything about us! Every one of us!

And when our hearts are loyal to Him, He seeks us out, so that He may show Himself strong on our behalf! What comfort!

I want to stay loyal to God down to the very deepest places of my heart! What joy is mine, then, when I catch Him in action, showing Himself strong on my behalf!
